  1. jg777 My main goal this game was to try and play a reasonable opening to reach a playable middle game.
  2. jg777 shifting to a KID with black playing Bg4 is interesting.
  3. jg777 Of course he likes to see if d5 is something to play for here.
  4. jg777 Play d5 now maybe Nc5 is thematic or perhaps a Qb6 since c6 has been played might be playable.
  5. jg777 Black might try Nc5 Qc2 Bg6, when I think Bd3 is necessary and then black has a few ideas from there.
  6. jg777 Today I will attack.
  7. jg777 This I don't like for black. Qa5 seems to just be a waste. I play f3 and e4 is always fine.
  8. jg777 I will squeeze blacks counter play ideas here, then I am going to work h4-h5 into the game.
  9. jg777 Opponent got disconnected so I am waiting for him to return. I hope his connection is not going to factor into this game at all.
  10. jg777 I think earlier games I outwitted myself so today I am telling myself to go with my instincts and play a fun game. Attack! Be aggressive!
  11. jg777 So far I am liking the position I have made. I think h4-h5 will be playable soon and I might have a nice squeeze here. It is not very
  12. jg777 easy for black to find concrete ideas here for active play.
  13. jg777 Black must be feeling the difficulty of the position as he is taking a bit of time here. Also connection issues factoring into it.
  14. jg777 It is funny I tell my students to "castle quickly!" and yet here my king stands, centralized.
  15. jg777 Maybe black will find a spectacular way to attack it and I will have a model game to show why castling is important! :)
  16. jg777 Good black finds the idea of getting his knight to b4. Way to see a good square!
  17. jg777 Now do I press on the kingside with h4-h5? It looks appealing still.
  18. jg777 Ah, h5! Brave. Interesting. Was thinking h6, but h5 looks fun!
  19. jg777 So g5 then f4 maybe is good for me? attacks h5 pawn twice?
  20. jg777 Yeah why not it gains space and then I have a clear square to attack on h5.
  21. jg777 Now I am playing with fire! Fire can be good! It can be bad! but it is hot! :)
  22. jg777 Ok now I need some serious thought here a lot is at stake in this position and I need a concrete idea.
  23. jg777 So Nd4-f5 looks ok, Bxh5 looks to dangerous as Nxc4 and center is collapsing quickly, so Bxe5 might be a move here.
  24. jg777 Probably is I have to much at risk with infiltration so Bxe dxe Bxh Qb6! and suddenly I have some issues.
  25. jg777 Like Bxg fxg and now Qf2 threat . It looks quite dangerous.
  26. jg777 or not I have c5! to shut the queen out. So maybe it is fine. But it really puts my position on the edge of collapsing.
  27. jg777 I will find a better idea. There must be something more solid than that.
  28. jg777 Maybe Bxe dxe c5 right away, threatening d6 next.
  29. jg777 I would play Be3 but I can't believe it is good to leave a knight on e5 like this. Be3 maybe f6, and black is breaking free.
  30. jg777 or maybe f5! straight away. Either way it seems not good to play passive Be3.
  31. jg777 Need to take this knight. then I will decide what is next.
  32. jg777 Fine I am playing with fire so lets see who gets burnt here. I have some ideas, he has some ideas, who's is best.
  33. jg777 Now for a tough choice here. Nb6? It asks a LOT of my position. Bf3 is probably more solid, if passive. I like Nb6 though.
  34. jg777 Nb6 Qxd Rxd Bxe Nxa Bxh...lot of trades.
  35. jg777 New idea, Qc2. Defends e pawn, moves queen off D file, adds another protector on c5 BUT also allow castle queenside as well.
  36. jg777 this might be correct idea.
  37. jg777 question is does Nb4 come in to fast for me. Qc2 Nc6..maybe it does.
  38. jg777 Maybe I am not looking at this creatively enough. What if I just give the e pawn up for the sake of getting other pieces into play?
  39. jg777 Like 0-0 Bxe Nxe7+ Qxe Bxh5?
  40. jg777 I will try it, I think it solves the most problems for me.
  41. jg777 Actually Nb6 might be even better here.
  42. jg777 Well that was a spectacular oversight Jordan. Bravo. This is why that idea was not correct.
  43. jg777 Yeah no way this is saved. one mover game over. Sorry team.
  44. InfernalJumble really?
  45. jg777 Was an interesting game to a point, but I asked to much from the position again and lost myself in my own ideas.
  46. jg777 I disgarded the better idea it seems too, Bxh Bxe Bf3... Saw it, thought it was to risky with king in center. Also Nxe was the right idea
  47. jg777 But I quickly saw Nb6 and thought oh the knight gets stuck on a7!... But no, duh, that is tactically refuted. Asked to much of it.
  48. jg777 Well even if I had played the Nxe line, I was set on Bxh which appears to be bad anyway. Bc4 is correct there, doubt I would have seen it.
  49. jg777 /w Haha, I actually save this knight on c5, thought it was dead lost. I am losing regardless, but I did not see how the knight was going to
  50. jg777 not be lost.
  51. jg777 I definitely lost my whole vision of the game at the end, clearly, I was not seeing anything correctly.
  52. jg777 well played pioki, time to carry on with my family day. Cheers!
