DGT Chess Board questions

Hello everyone,

I have questions about chess DGT e-board.I would like to play on a real board ( same used as in competition FIDE OTB in real, same style (stauton), same size etc) and connect it to play online rated chess games on Lichess (or chess.com it doesn't matter), but without to look at each opposent move the screen. My eyes will thank me if its possible !

So :

1) I have a very basic video, but how do you know which move your opponent plays ? Do you need for each move to look at the computer ? (it would be bad). Or is there two light on two squares lightening each time your opponent plays ?

2) Do you know a good model, good e-pieces and clock ? Recommandations or internet links ? General advices ?

Thank you by advance !
Hi! There was an article on lichess sometime ago explaining exactly what you are looking for. I think it is recommend just for longer games. Maybe you find something searching the archives.

Best regards
Hi,
I saw the article, there are not the answers that i search.
I have done 2 hours research, its seems not easy to see an easy way to do what i want to do.
1) You set up a game with your computer. Afterwards a voice will always tell you which moves have been played. This video shows how it would work youtu.be/Md_vhVHsKRM
There are no lights which would indicate a move on the dgt board partly because these lights would also be illegal in official tournaments. If you want a board with lights which is quite convenient you have two options: Either a millennium Exclusive board or a regium chess board. But the millennium board is smaller. The regium is available in different sizes.
2) You should certainly think about getting a wireless board because the cable is problematic when you need to turn the board around because you switch sides (white to black and vice versa).
cheapest option is the DGT smart board. which is all plastic and with cables (the one in the video). you don't need a chess clock yet, because it hasn't been implemented in lichess. The dgt Pi is quite costly but there are also other chess serves which would display moves and time in the dgt pi. But its quite a new feature and i dont know how well it works.
Hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions.
EDIT: I meant a certabo board not regium (scam!). Certabo is an italian brand. there are a few videos online.
Thank u very much Sneaky. I Will make a longer answer tomorrow, i read carefully ur answer but now i am going to sleep, i will have quick questions for u later !
Hello friends.
I have a Certabo board and it works with led lights to show the rival moves. It is wonderful.
You can find more information on www.certabo.com. They have differente sizes with squares of 35mm, 45mm and 55mm. Also there are some videos in youtube. You can play against the machine or humans using lichess.org, chess.com or chess24.com
Any question feel free to ask.
Hi everyone, I want to know, if it´ is possible to play with my DGT-board against a real person (sitting in front of me) and to documentate the game for analyzing it later (e.g. in training in a club). And am I able to say Lichess, that the other player is also a user of Lichess and we will find the game in our Lichess-histories?
yes, you can record your games with a dgt board. However the board itself does not record a PGN. For that you either need a cell phone, a computer or a dgt pi.
You can import the games to lichess and they will appear as "imported Games" in your profile. You could also save them as a Study for further analysis. I don't think there is a way to connect the games to the accounts directly. you would have to replay the complete game manually and as a casual game with two accounts.
