From 1200 to 1600? possible?

I started playing with my rating at 900. I am currently at 1750. Around 3 years of tactics, reading chess books, watching chess videos and analyzing my own games. Keep working hard, it will pay off.
I got to the rating I am now in a little under a year and a half (1950 lichess classical / 1850 blitz) About a year and 5 months to be exact.

Tactics are important but you should spend time doing that but also spend time with what you enjoy.

Play long games 45+45 or more.

Learn some basic endgames like K+PvsK and know how to do all the basic checkmates
Queen
Rook
Two bishop
and for the future bish plus knight.

If you want lessons send me a PM. :D
I played solidly for over 2 years before attaining my 1600 classical rating. Around this time in 2015, I was ~1250 rating. What did I do? Constantly watch chess videos, whether an analysis, a live commentary, strategy videos. I played a lot of games, making sure to find where I could improve my play, working on my tactics, and finding a niche opening for myself. Take the advice of people in this thread, and actively play to improve your game. If you love the game, and want to improve, you will.

PS: My classical rating jumped when I started playing classical extensively a few months ago (1450-1600 in about 1 month or so.) The reason it jumped; tactics and seriously putting effort on finding the best continuations possible. This, of course, came after a year of studying the game, learning important strategical concepts.
Dude it's totally possible to go from 1200 to 1600.

At my lowest, which was when i first discovered online chess, was a whooping 912 classical. That was Oct 29, 2014.

My highest classical rating is 1802. That was Sept 9, 2016.

That took less than 2 years.

It took me 1 year to hit the 1600's.

It really just depends on how much time you put into learning chess (and doing tactics).
I have played seriously for the past 12 years (from a total of 29 years of knowing the rules and playing).

1 year is such a short time in a game that lasts a lifetime.

Just keep playing and you will improve.
I started play chess in 2014, I was 1200 i blitz ,bullet and classical . when the year 2015 was finishing..I was 2000 points in classical .
Now I have 2000 in bullet, blitz ,classical and I have won to highs players.

What I did?

-I analyzed each game
-I read some commenteds games or commenteds videos.
-I did some tactis train
-I play sometimes against players many me strong than me
-And I knew that I will get 2000 (Confidence and motivation)

Now I only play sometimes for fun , I dont study chess, do not tactis ,ect and I dont improve( or maybe yes, but very bit)
