Why gms dislike playing against amateurs?

What motivation do you expect?

It costs their time, they get absolutely nothing out of it. At best it will be a boring waste of time.

This also applies to much lower rated players. If you're 2000, playing a 1000 will get you absolutely nothing.

Things may be different in a (paid) lesson, or on streams etc.

And don't forget the annoying i-crushed-this-GM-bragging-attention-seeking-posts afterwards in the 0,01% case they may win (regardless of rated or casual play).

it remains a safe bet for an amateur circuit race. the vw golf IV V and VI can have the engine modified and you can remove elements that are too heavy and unnecessary, but it does not exceed 210 km/h. (Do not try, under any circumstances!!!)

And why you can't drive on town with a F1 then ?
There are some GMs who stream and you could send them a challenge if that GM got in his twitch title : playing the viewers.
Or you could have a game if a GM host a simul and join in time
Otherwise i wouldn't recommend to ask a GM for a game (just saying :) )
How about the opposite question: why would an amateur player want to play against a GM? To have a story to tell their grandchildren? If I played against a 2700 rated GM and a 2200 (FIDE) rated player and nobody told me which of them was which, would I be able to tell on my own? I don't think so. So what exactly is supposed to be so great about the experience?
well, we can view this from an opposite standpoint

usually amateurs tend to play better against higher rated players, and might have the mentality of "nothing to lose, everything to win" (literally the opposite)

I would want to play. I just curious how it is like playing against such a strong opponent
