#69 @MagnusXL Endgames in antichess are notoriously difficult. It's almost impossible to play a multi-piece endgame without an increment. You need at least +5 to ensure good endgame quality. For example, try to win a 3+0 game 1.e3 b5 2.Bxb5 Bb7 against Stockfish (everyone knows that this is a forced win). Of course when you play against a low-rated player, you can fall asleep with a long time control. My suggestion: use 3+2 in the first stage, then gradually increase the time control up to 10+10 (at least 5+5) in the match for the crown.

And now about your arguments.
"Anti has been solved for e3 as a white win." Have you (or anyone else) won all your 1.e3 games?
"With 2+5 I'd be more concerned about cheaters/players using engines." Do not use this myth, please. Do you really think bots can't play 0+1? Good cheaters can do everything.
"Why not use a more popular time control to decide the world cup champion?" Because otherwise you will get another tournament, not a WC...
e3 does not always win and with a3 I have won hundreds of games. but a3 does not always win too (google traslate sorry)
