I tried to play a game with the highest average cp loss I can. I achieved 1987 acpl for black and 1980 for white (on average 1983.5) and from 8th move analysis shows: 1#/-1#/1#/-1#/1#/-1#/ etc.
Is this the worst full game possible or are there opportunities to make acpl even higher (I say about full games because it's possible to achieve 2000 when playing from position)? What are highest acpl possible for various variants? What is your highest acpl?
EDIT: I did some research and came up with game where 1#/-1#/1#/-1#/1#/-1# sequence starts at 5th move! As @MattHasFun said I tried to hang some pieces: one horse was under attack all the time and two rooks were under attack for some time, however acpl is still 1980/1987. Probably when forced checkmate is possible computer doesn't care about unnecessary pieces and 3 moves of 1#/-1#/1#/-1#/1#/-1# isn't enough to make a significant change in acpl. However theoretically the new game is worse:
I'm also wondering if it's possible to achieve higher cp loss in other variants. If you tried something, please let me know.
