Reopening Discussion On the LGBTQ Prideful Month Announcement

This is what it always comes down to though. We accept your sexual orientation or gender, as long as we can't see or notice it in any way. You either accept someone or you don't. And unfortunately, this isn't it.

Anytime there is an "us vs. them", there will never be peace. The LGBTQ group get what they deserve by sticking out, and the opposed side get what they deserve by not accepting and repelling another group.

Do you see the cycle of stupidity here? We do the same with Asians and Arabs too. That is as far as our brain cells will reach. "If you have squinty eyes you must of created COVID or you must be stealing jobs from hard working Americans." Obviously, I don't personally believe this but at no point in time do we find out if they are Chinese or Japanese or Korean or Thai or Vietnamese or Filipino, etc...

It is all wrapped up into an "Asian" "non-Asian" polarized grouping. If there is a hate crime, what do you see in articles online? Photos of 100 percent Asians speaking out.

If there are BLM marches, what do you see? Blacks.

If you are in need of "pride" based on your race, religion, or sexual orientation, you really need to stop the tug of war that is going on. Why keep self-segregating and perpetuating things?

Neither side is right. You don't get a Monopoly plot of squares because you associate with one minority. We all use the squares. We all should have access to the streets. Setting up a parade on public streets takes away from the group as a whole.

Hijacking one month to be your personal agenda month takes away from the group as a whole. Learn to live life 365 days without sticking out 30 days.
I am really curious whether Lichess will make changes or based on the comments of Yosha, or go into a discussion about the possiblilities.
Rating means little enough as it is and you are advocating to judge people based on it. But, okay. :)
Black History month in the UK is coming up
Saturday, 1 October
and ends on
Monday, 31 October
Would you have a problem if they post about that? (Rhetorical, lol.)
Maybe Lichess should be bound and gagged and thrown into the sea, would that make you happy?
Lol.
In Pakistan, being gay is a death sentence.
So-- until you are dead by being blind, I don't think we'll compare your rights to the same thing.
This isn't a dig at your blindness. Just a point that you are not in danger of your life on account of your condition in places like
Pakistan,
Nigeria,
Sudan,
etc.
But thanks for your post!
The blind person complaining about special treatment while specifically mentioning the special treatment that they get should be careful to not create an irony singularity that destroys the planet. You sir, are both literally and metaphorically blind.

It's an excellent example actually! Blind people get a special mode on Lichess because they need it. We don't need a sighted Lichess mode, that's just regular Lichess. LGBTQ+ people get a blog post showing support because they need it, as should be VERY clear from all the whiny bigots that have shown up to complain.

As far as "receiving feedback," What would be the purpose of taking feedback from people that didn't read the article? What use would a 25 page discussion of why bigots don't like the blog condemning bigotry have?
I do not support LGBTQ+ because it supports you believing in your someone your not. If your a girl and want to be a boy well... thats not how you were meant to be. Your purpose is to be who you are and only that. (No Offense)
