Which opening is best, Ruy Lopez, French Defense, or Sicilian Defense?

#10
tactics is short term i.e. middle game
strategy is long term i.e. endgame
open game : tactic
closed game : strategy

Furthermore, tactic is the science of the pieces safety.
for what its Queens Gambit, for black against the Kings Pawn, is Sicialian defense, against the Queens Gambit, its Slavi Defense
What i meant was that closed french is more about general considerations regarding the pawn structure and where to put the pieces, mainly the white squared bishop. It is about attacking pawn chains. Sicilian of course also has a pawn strategy (like "play d5") but it is more open by nature, the pawn structure is more dynamic. So it forces the players to have a careful eye on development of the pieces and on tactical blows. Of course things can quickly become reversed, depending on which pawn structure appears on the board.
Eg. the basic handling of french rubinstein with e+d pawn exchanged against d+c pawn is similar to the handling of sicilian structures where black played d5 and white took with the e-pawn.
I play the French defense most of the time when I'm black.
Run Lopez and French are both good IMO. Sicilian is a bit too theoretical.
