Steinitz envisioned the king as a strong piece which can take care of itself.
Something I partially agree with as long as the queens are not present on the board.
Modern research indicates that the king is close to a knight in value. But the king's fighting value is ambiguous and must not be used recklessly. The fighting power is not commensurate with how important it is.
Will subit it for the next game of the month, so proud of my king lol
King is worth much more than a knight.
