in a blitzgame against nigel short i had once 1e4 c5 2b3 Nf6 3e5 Qc7 a bit strange line he played 4exf6 not a blunder a sac white have enough compensation i believe.
he managed to win the game in the end.
3..Dc7 is a bit strange but the line made much more sense than for example this line 1g4 h5 2f4 e6 3f4 Rh6!? a ! for the creative move a? for the value.
Played a regular game with Short once. He played an inaccurate move and offered a draw next move. Of course I refused and made a mistake 5 moves later and offered a draw, he refused.
To make a long story 'Short'. It was a very long game.
There were 7 mistakes and 7 alternating draw offers. All declined.
Needless to say the game ended in king vs. king.
:-)
ehm my post was serious
i won once against short with 1a4 and after around 10 seconds he Na6 and i respond with 2Ra3 and won the game around 33moves
(not joking here.)
ok it was blitz ofcourse.

I know you were serious. I have no reason to doubt you. My post was serious too.
It was some open OTB tournament.
ok very good! but 7drawoffers seems like a joke a to make a long story short also a joke on his name
Like I said, they were alternating. Him, me, him, me etc.
The game was over 120 moves. 1 offer per 17/18 moves is just ok. :-)
ok i see !
i won once against French Andrei Sokolov once around almost 10years ago another legend.
that was otb (forget to said that.
