Regium: Extraordinary Claims Require Extraordinary Evidence

Wow, they actually let through my warning comment on their most recent video.
@Hemmerschess yes i know what you mean . I have seen a priceless ( would probably go for 10k) handmade, one of a kind, Bronze/ chromium chess table that was just gathering dust. What I meant was: who would spend that much on a chess set that is not available yet, if the exact same thing is avaliable right now for a fraction of the price, (without the promise of magical technology).
If you are pretentious you would just get a glass/crystal one like everyone else who does not intend to use a chess set.
A retailer would surely not buy his stock off of Kickstarter.
BTW , in their last clarification video they said they had no experience in video editing, but the first promotional video was probably the job of a professional ... if I hire a professional and edit the video ... and the video goes wrong. Can I say that I don't know video editing?
A web site is running an ad on TV here in the U.S. ...that shows a self moving chess board. The web site is called "TouchofModern.com" If you go to the site, you can't view anything unless you first provide an email address. For me that's a red flag. The video quality is quite good. :]
I just logged using a fake email, @Skittle-Head - the chess board is Square Off. They do a funky back hair remover wand on there as well (the website does, not Square Off).
@azuaga yeah, they are lying. I have been doing the YouTube thing for years and my best work is not as good as their first video. They may not be world class in video editing but they are not as bad as they pretend. They could solve this issue by giving a demonstration of their prototype.
Comment on their YouTube channel though. lol. Seriously, if you have a revolutionary chess product, wouldn't you want Chess.com, LiChess, Chess24, and all these sites to demo it. I bet they could have raised $1m if they had a working prototype to show everybody
There’s a UK newspaper called the Daily Mail who might run with this kind of story. If the Kickstarter is still up tomorrow I might call their news desk...
Exactly @CyrusKing, having free access to chess.com, chess24 and lichess news, it would be ridiculous to not accept doing a demo with them and having incredible publicity from the most famous chess sites in the Net.
