Well, rating is only an average and says nothing about specific "off-days"", which we all experience (we are not computers). Take a look at this. We probably were both hanging over the toilet after the game ended. Black plays for Santa Claus (free queen); white (experiencing a light flu) plays a knight instead on autopilot. Omg he was banned for using chess engine(mickey321) xDD so his rating was a bluff. That shows how a guy with "2100" lost against 1400 player.
Ahahah. But 1400 is not my rate for real. We are 2 to play on this account. My friend plays blitz, Me i play friendly games vs 1800 +.

If 2200s played at that level of skill against me every game I would be a GM in no time. Seems like your opponent was not really that rating, and was a cheater.
otb I have beaten 2000s and lost to 700s. Bad days always happen once in a while. On some good days I could beat my bad day self blindfolded.

That was a fun game to watch, must have felt good at the time, I am just starting out with online chess and must admit it feels amazing when you beat a player with a much stronger rating.
