what an idiotic idea.It is painful to see such degradation of (until recently) the greatest existing chess website.

here is what is wrong. before you could pick the range of ratings that you desired. full and complete control, no ambiguity. now you are restricted by some idiots choice of what is allowable with no explanation, no questions of the general populous of players as to what they want, no option at all. do it our way or else. and to top it off, the stupid thing does not even appear to work as one would expect either. I keep getting games that I do not understand how they are even in the range. most of us are adults and now we are being treated like idiotic children.

someone explain how this is supposed to work, why it was done, who is disadvantaged by the old method, who is advantaged by the new method.

Funny thing is, if you open your browser's dev tool/"inspect element", you can alter the HTML code for the sliders to accept a different max value and it works, meaning the backend code is absolutely oblivious to the new frontend limits... so why exactly they pushed the update on the live environment is unclear
