2nd Correspondence Cup - Your ideas

At the moment, I am planning the 2nd Correspondence Cup. I would like to hear your ideas concerning the rules and the tournament format.
What I planned yet:
- time control: 2 days/move; games are rated
- double elimination
- 2 games against each opponent, one as black, the other as white
- next round starts every 2 months, in these months the amount of games for the league will be reduced
I would like to divide the tournament in different groups to make sure that everyone gets fair pairings. What‘s your opinion on that? Shall we just divide by rating as in the 1st Cup, or use another system (maybe you could qualify by your placement in the league or the 1st cup or by an additional qualification tournament). Besides, I don‘t know when the tournament should start, either on 1st April or on 1st June.
Let me know about your ideas. If you like the idea of another person just react with a thump up to let me know that the idea is supported.

the second date mentioned does give you the organiser a bit more time to sort out any issues

There could be a winner's bracket and a consolation bracket, where the winner of the first round participates in the winner's bracket, and the loser of the first round participates in the consolation bracket. It would be like a double knockout tournament, except with much less games.

Time Controll two days is nice. two games, one with white and Black is good.

1. I think the "cup" format is too long which increase the rate of dropout all along.
I think the league game is better as it make possible to have multiples games at the same time.

2. As usual, pairing by group level is much more desirable for everyone in order to have true chess (contrary to one side game when palyer have a too large strengh difference) !

I am not experienced enough here to comment on the format (Cup/League), but I would participate.
