Pick a power, the person below must state a negative effect for it

Ability to make every food taste how you want it to taste right then

The more the person uses their power to make things fail, the more they become plagued with self-doubt and begin to doubt their own abilities, leading to a potential loss of confidence and ambition.
Have the power to transform into a giant sentient crab who is also the greatest chess player in the world.

The negative effect is that whenever the person transforms into a giant sentient crab, they become susceptible to mind control and lose all autonomy over their actions. This means that even if they are the greatest chess player in the world, they cannot use that skill to their advantage while in crab form because they cannot make decisions for themselves.

The easier answer would be that people would be scared of a giant sentient crab, and as a crab you can't talk to tell them that you won't hurt them, so you would not be able to use the chess power. Also what do people do when there is a giant monster in a city? That's right, they bring guns, and everyone knows what will happen next...
