Suggestion to ban the ultrabullet

He @TigerLilov does have a point... but for those that want to play them to pass some time, do so.

Chess platforms could do one thing though.. and that’s remove ratings for the variants and games under say, 3 minutes.

The we won’t have to put up with irritating threads like ‘I just became 2000 in ultrabullet bla bla bla’

And YouTubers won’t be a making endless deep analysis videos on games that lasted just a couple of minutes.
just because bullet and variants are beyond your own chess capacity, doesn't make it right to unjustify them.

I'd say rated hyper variant could be removed since it's more flagging than variants. But that's all.

1+0 games are somewhat like chess. Of course, none of bullet/blitz/rapid should be compared to OTB classical chess in the first place. It's all chess, just different executions with different emphasis of abilities.
@Cedur216 I think they’re a waste of time and effort and I’ve zero interest in finding out how bad I could be. If others want o play them, then fine. I’m not bothered.

But if these games are a mere distraction, why bother to have ratings that are utterly meaningless and then we won’t have players bragging about utterly meaningless ratings?
They're not utterly meaningless, after all, they're still a base of measuring strength and fair pairings

Also, distraction from what? They can be adrenaline kicks just as much as slower chess
The computer can ensure fair matches without displaying a rating. If moving a mouse faster than your opponent gives you an adrenaline kick then there’s not much else to say.
If you think ultra is 100% about mouse speed, in other words, that the moves you play don't matter at all, then you're sorely mistaken

You played 8000+ games in Ultrabullet and now say you don't want it to be available anymore??

I partially agree, as I noticed myself that I played regular time controls worse if I had played Ultra shortly before them.
Yes, but why would anyone want to use chess for adrenaline rush? This is degrading the game's purpose
