Crazyhouse World Championship 2022 begins!

Pairing 40: Apologies for the delays. As an update, @erik2013mutig and I are still arranging a suitable time. I have suggested some times for this coming week and next weekend in a private message but have not heard back from him after his first replies. Hopefully we get this sorted and play soon. Thanks to the organisers!

On Monday :)

Contacted @azuaga several times by now. Without response. He/She has already been online and played games since then. So I start to doubt if our matches will take place....

Nil desperandum!

Azuaga played one, casual game of bullet two days ago and the game before that was a week ago, well before your post #61. I know from personal experience that the lichess smartphone app does not always generate a notification for inbox messages. Hopefully you will get a reply sooner rather than later.
vlad-sensei has progressed to the next round winning all 6 games in a row! I took him to 50 games + last game but he was too much! A joy to play against! Top-notch guy was super busy but found time to play! I hope we keep in touch and become friends, he's a real talent and asset to the crazy horse community! See you all next year Feelthemock and thank you to everyone who puts this together I practice, train and prepare, and it's my 1 day to shine for a moment thank you so much you all are amazing! Thank you, Jann Lee for inspiring me to play this wonderful game, and thank you the 50 others who help to make it happen!

I have entered a result of 6-0 in favour of @vlad-sensei. @feelthemock is still in this year's competition and will play the loser of match number 84 between burpcow and either katoptris or errant-elephant.
Hello everyone,

The good news is that the challonge (challonge.com/CWC2022) indicates that 25 first-round matches have been completed. By now all first round matches should have been scheduled, and all should be played by this coming Sunday (see post #1 in this forum). In cases where both players are communicating such as post #91 I hope they take heed of this. I am aware of two matches that were scheduled to take place before now but as far as I can see did not happen. These are @jrpadhi versus @Ishaan4e (post #38) and @Malenkii200 versus @ajedrezconzeta (post #49).

Players that have reached the next round should feel free to schedule their next match: early isn't a problem, but late certainly is and matches that lag behind will be resolved by the issuing of forfeits.

In cases where it can be seen (e.g. post #61 or #64) that one player has made an effort to schedule the match and the opponent has not reciprocated, it will be reflected in the decision to issue a forfeit.

There have been double-forfeits before, and judging by post #31 we may have one in the case of regarding @Whitedancingrockstar and @crazyhousegrind
