What is your preferred OS?

Most people use their OS as a sort of boot loader to bootstrap a web browser and possibly some games or productivity applications and don't interface with it directly most of the time. Linux users do often interface with the OS directly, and thus tend to care more about the OS itself.

macOS still has a command-line interface like any other UNIX or Unix-like OS, but said command-line interface is hidden away and a typical user has no reason to use it. Also, ever since Tim Cook, Apple products are being designed less for power users and more for normal users.

I hear Apple used to advertise their Macs as "sending other UNIX boxes to /dev/null". Not anymore. It's a wonder why they still pay for macOS to be certified as UNIX.

That's a thing you can do? Does anyone care?

I use Debian 12 the rest are just about crap.
