Takebacks

Whats the purpose of this feature....have any of you actually allowed someone to take back a move ?
THATS ACTUALLY CHEATING IN REAL CHESS WE DONT HAVE ANYTHING LIKE THAT
@AARUSH_2012 Umm, actually takebacks are not cheating.. because otherwise lichess or any other chess site would not have let that happen
@LordVoldemort1 , takebacks are options where we can ask our opponents if we can take back the move we just played and play another one and yes, i have asked my opponents takebacks.. some allow and others dont
i allow Takebacks if I maintain advantage. In a losing position and my opponent misclick, i reject to win the game. I never ask for takeback in all my online games.
Otb it is not allowed. The arbiter might award both a 0:0 if you refuse to follow the rules, just sayin‘.
Takebacks put people in an awkward situation. You should never feel ashamed for refusing to take back a move, and you should never be berated for refusing to take back a move. I'll probably disable it myself. I rarely ask for a takeback, and when folks ask me for one, it's usually an angle shoot.
I only offer or accept a takeback if it's an obvious misclick or mouse slip. I find it rude to not accept a takeback if it was an obvious mouse slip. On the other hand, if someone plays a blunder and forgets that their queen was hanging and asks for a takeback then that's a problem; as some people feel obliged to accept a takeback just because it's nice.
