What does it mean when another players name appers under the chat box?

Oh, you are right. Thanks for clarifying. I guess I usually just look if it turned green before I send it.

BTW, it is called "whisper" on ICC if a player does that, I guess therefore the "/w". And yeah, very cool that Lichess has that, didn't know.
