Chess fundamentlas. How to checkmate with a queen.

Hi, everybody! I've recently posted a second video on my YouTube channel (part of a longer series that I intend to make, "Chess fundamentals"), in which I talk about a basic, but extremely important chess skill: How to checkmate your opponent using only your queen and king. If you are interested and want to know more about this, here is the link to the video: youtu.be/a_Zd8DE9LUg

If you were kind enough to watch the video and you actually enjoyed it, give it a thumbs-up and subscribe to the channel, as it really motivates me to create more stuff like this!

Thanks for your time! :)
Not very good. Black is already 3 files from h, but 5 ranks away from the 8th rank, so why try to move him all the way to rank 8? Begin with Qd5, already forcing him to the f file, two files away. Also, you can push the black king without the white king.
29 moves for a queen checkmate? This method is suboptimal at best. Why would you use your queen as if it were a rook? Not to mention that even with a rook this would be way too slow.
An easier method.

1. Bring the queen as close to the king as possible without capture.
2. Follow the king's movement. (example, if the king goes one up to the right, do the same with the queen.)
3. When the king is on the back rank/file make sure the king isn't stalemated. (has a legal move.)
4. Bring in your king.
5. Deliver checkmate.
Often the "knight move" distance for the queen is good, except in the corner. If no better knight move distance is available, bring the king in.
Should only take 6-7 moves usually
For all of you guys mentioning that this is not the best/quickest method of checkmating with a queen: I know! Of course it's not! The point of my video is to make sure that beginner players get the hang of the mechanisms behind checkmating with a queen! Then, it is going to be much easier (I think) for them to understand how to checkmate with a rook and so on. My point is not to show a computer-generated mate which takes place in 8 moves; my goal is to create reliable patterns that can help them in any given position; also, if you were a complete beginner (let's suppose so), wouldn't it be easier for you to comprehend such a technique rather than a more efficient but illogical one?
Anyway, thank you for taking the time to watch the video, I truly appreciate your commenting. :)
Well, no computer generated needed. If takes over 10 moves it just wrong way to do it. You are supposed to box the king towards some corner not the one that is as far as possible. I woudl no recommend this lesson to anyone.

And boxing works for rooks. just take bit more time
Whatever works for you, might not work for somebody else; I wanted to showcase the most basic method of doing it, so that even the slowest learners can get the hang of it. Of course, I could have made this video 8 minutes shorter and showed the viewers how the black king gets cornered and checkmated in 9 or 10 moves on the h file. But, personally, I wouldn't have liked this as a beginner if I had had to watch it. I'd say we let people decide whether this is good for them or not.
Thank you.
