Why do people play games here with no increment?

Is it to take advatage of other people's poor connections an/or the fact that this site makes some lose when down to 8 to 12 seconds, all in one shot, take all their remaining time away?
It's so that I know how long the game will last, since I may only have a certain amount of time available.
I like it, to me its preferable for my android phone playing against people with keyboard extensions and lag.

I have a 30 minute lunch, so a 10 minute game, without increments, will allow for 1 game, with 20 minutes to eat !
No increment means better winning chances for both sides. There are less draws. Nobody likes to draw.
Hm... wouldn't it be about the same time as when digital clock started to be used more often than mechanical?
I play without increment. I imagine I am under more pressure to find moves quick. I hope it will improve my time management and tactical vision.

I am not fanatical about playing with or without increment though.
