About the question of rules.

@Feuer1 The user agreement does not mention: if a person does not use accounts in order to manipulate the rating, then this is allowed, there is a clear prohibition.
Maybe he actually closes previous accounts? i haven no clue. I think that non-famous players enjoy anonymity of their alias with respect to their personal life outside of chess. So maybe we should make a distinction between the famous and elite, if it is a sense of justice and flat application of the rules that motivates your question.

The answer might actually be contained in part of your question. What if famous but not champion. That person is at increased risk of losing the lichess other rule (for itself, a promise to the user), that of non-chess anonymity.

The only draw back to that conflict of moral directions (or rules if moral seems too much, or not applicable), is that his non-chess behaviour on lichess would not have continuity or memory, or historical consistency. No persona on forum like here.

So I would hope that hit-and-run is not the reason for successive different names for successive accounts.
And if he does not user previous accounts. Then I would say the spirit of the rule, is something still i play.
@KeithDenning I repeat once again in the rules it is NOT SPECIFIED whether a person can use a second account if he does not use it to manipulate the rating.
Man, this is getting out of hand.

I'm unlikely to get charged with carrying a weapon if I'm wielding a baseball bat during a ball game, but the police would charge me with carrying a weapon if I'm swinging the same bat in the middle of a library.

Does this mean that bat-wielding idiots in libraries should never be charged, or that all baseball players should be jailed?
@dboing I am not against the creation of more than one account by Magnus Carlsen if it is specified in the user agreement, otherwise it cannot be called only a violation of the rules established by himself Lichess/
@KeithDenning No, I disagree with you, your example was not cited correctly. Let's say that there is a person who created several accounts for the game with a blindfold and was banned. I doubt that the moderators made it out for what he used several accounts. According to your logic, some of the baseball players can be imprisoned, but the famous ones can be left alone.
