Chess to music translation

Hello Chess fans
My name is Dionmarinos but my friends call me Dendog

I have played chess for about 20 years on and off
but have studied music theory for longer
back in 2008 i discovered a formula to transcribe chess games into music if you would like to hear what it sounds like take a peek XD

I like your idea of ranks being pitches in modes defined by the various files - mine uses ranks to determine the pitches and files to determine the octave and the mode is always minor/aeolian. While this has the advantage of a more consistent tonality it also has a perhaps overly large range of pitches to synthesize (8 octaves, one for each file). Also mine tries to feature a melody determined by when captures occur, though I'm having trouble getting MIDI instruments in a browser to sustain properly. Ah, well.

This had to to be done. Next step is to represent the different pieces and their properties in the possition. But how?
As a professional musician, I'd like to see this done the other way round. How would a piece of music translate into chess? :D
