I really don't understand what the problem is here.
Someone sponsored a match between 2 good players, they both accepted and had fun. Lichess still remains free.
PS: just fyi, i didn't sponsor this, but the original IDEA to let them play was MINE.
EDIT: Oh, i didn't get a cent for this, money is nothing in life, you can't eat it.
