What does it mean when another players name appers under the chat box
Hello!

That means that this player is watching your game. You can also send them messages by putting a "\w" before your message (e.g. "\w Hello, thanks for watching my game!"). This message won't be visible for your opponent until the game ends :)
Cheers guys i did think that but couldnt find it in FAQ.
Could this mean someone could be helping my opponent? If we can chat to eachother without the third person seeing? That sounds dodgy everybody should be able to see chat.
The spectators have a spectator chat, and the players have a player chat, which are COMPLETELY unrelated except for the point #3 mentioned

It's "/w ", not "\w". The font will turn green, bold, and italic if you begin a chat message with those three characters.

The players can talk to each other, spectators can talk to each other and the players can talk to spectators, but spectators cannot talk to the players.
