No. All we learn about these days is so simple and we learn almost nothing that we need to learn for later in life. What is your opinion?
It may be simple but it is the foundation for many things. Math teaches you how to think logically and efficiently, literature teaches you to enjoy the beauty of language and culture, language teaches you how to learn things systematically and open you up to foreign opportunities or connections. Basic education ensures a healthy and civil society. And if you are not satisfied then you can pursue higher education or realistic thing in the field that you have an interest in working.
Correct, but most teachers do not teach properly.

Now consumers are needed, not creators.
Not only the teachers are to blame, the programs themselves are drawn up like this.

@Elite_Revan327 According to you, what is wrong with what is being taught today? Don't just make blanket statements. Back up your opinions.
What do you mean ''Back up your opinions?!"
Suggested reading - The Seven Lesson Schoolteacher by former 3x New York Teacher of the Year John Taylor Gatto (below), who achieved excellent results teaching in a poor/violent NY school district in the 1980s.
Plenty of youtube videos by him as well for those interested, or see his book on the primary foundation for US public schooling (Fascist Prussia, believe it or not), "The Underground History of American Education".

@Elite_Revan327 Which country, school and area of education are you referring too?
And more importantly.
What do you want/need to learn, that you feel is lacking now in your current educational system?
