Losing games due to...

If someone has rather flat time graphs. Like 3-4s on every move and play flawless he is likely to cheat. That's a way to tell.

But the players calling you a cheat are surely just bad losers

#2

-cheater paranoia in forum & chat, even I got some nasty comments from a user when I started to play here

-hobby cheater hunters whose ultimate goal is to convict as many of them as possible

-cheaters trying to explain that they have not cheated

-players who make "extra-chessical" things responsible for their poor performance: cheaters, internet connection, time villains (which is somewhat "chessical" though)

Isn't your 3rd comment an example of yourself belonging to your 1st category. :)
I've only been called a cheater twice (which is hilarious because look at my rating). I like it - it means that people think you're as good as an engine. Thanks for the compliment.
Think about that next time someone calls you a cheater :)
" Somehow I never have to play against a cheater."

Guess what: today I had the honor to encounter one! But still think that cheaters are quite rare and as MikaAlka said, that unfriendly people are a much bigger issue.
Well, I suppose I lose games because of my bad playing but after 83 classical games I have been rewarded with points for 3 loses, I think, against cheaters. So, I assume that there should be a mininum of 5% of my classical games against cheaters.

Besides, there must be other players which cheat and aren't caught, so this should go up to around 10%

I would like to play more classical games but it is more risky. It seems less risky around 3 min blitz.
I guess aspirants on 1st place in tourns and on Top 10 lists can have some problems facing lots of cheats.

For average players cheats are not a big problem mostly.
It you accuse a player unfoundedly in a FIDE tournament you might get banned yourself (at least according to the FIDE rules).
#19 The FIDE case is much more severe than lichess because players are mentioned with their real identity. Accusing someone on lichess shouldn't result in ban I think. Better muzzling for a while in tourney chat if things going over the edges.
