I feel good about these recent blunders I made

I like the article, but I feel like you should check the games with an engine before reaching a final conclusion about what happened, for instance, in the 2nd position, you played c4 and said that after Nxd4, Nxd4, black had won a pawn.

However, Nxd4 by white was not a good move, instead simply taking the queen on d5 with the pawn wins a piece for white.
I don't know if he had edited his blog from when you said this, but currently, his exact wording is:
"So I played c4 and, after Qd6, d5.

Unfortunately, that does not work in this position. Pushing the c-pawn to c4 had weakened the d4 square, and now black plays Nd4, and after Nxd4 exd4, I’m down a pawn with little or no compensation."
There's no Qd6, d5 move sequence in your comment, and as far as computer concern, white had done all the best moves (d5, Nxd4) after c4?!
Qb3 doesn't intuitively strike me as a move I would probably even consider. White's lead in development is just telling after the queen trade, with the knight still a vagabond. I'm fascinated by the notion of what moves others strike as the most "obvious".

I would like to make it to the Charlotte Chess Center one of these days. I moved to North Carolina four years ago and haven't managed to make it yet.
