Seems like you have a issue. Try a lot and it will work.

I logged out of my lichess acount and logged in again which allowed chesscam to get the proper authorizations.

The issue I now have is that it sometimes doesn't recognize the moves if played too quickly. Does it have anything to do with the FPS from the cam? I am using my phone camera and the FPS seems low at 2.5 FPS approximately.

you ́re right. Initially my tablet was in portrait format. After a few modifications I was able to use landscape format and it works fine :-)

Thank you so much! I have been hoping for something like this for years. I tried it out and discovered that setting up the camera from the side, rather than above the board worked fairly well. High-contrast lighting and a black-and-white chess set helped, too. I managed to play half a game before things went off the rails. I'm very much looking forward to being able to use this in rated online games in the future. I'll be following your progress. Great work!

This was really nice. I tried it out. I did have some trouble that it kept thinking I was moving my king from g8 to h8 and back again. And because of that it made these extra 2 moves for me a few times. Luckily I was just playing against the computer. :)
