Again, can I just double-check that this equates to 22:00 UTC?

I quote from timeanddate.com:

"Central Daylight Time (CDT)

Also known as: Central Time (CT) and Central Standard Time (CST)

North America: Most locations are on CDT, but a few locations are still observing CST.

In everyday usage, CDT is often referred to as Central Time (CT) or the Central Time Zone. This can add a bit of confusion as the term Central Time does not differentiate between standard time and Daylight Saving Time, so Central Time switches between CST and CDT in areas that use DST during part of the year."
UTC and GMT are the same although UTC is more used in the international scene.

Personally I prefer to use GMT more.
# answer to 402: Yes Marlonc, GMT and UTC are same, CET now = UTC + 2. For France, I play at midnight

That is not strictly true. In 1972 UTC began to use leap seconds, and these days GMT is a time zone rather than the world's standard as it was before then.

Anyway the point is that in this competition there has been confusion in the past--players resident in the UK saying GMT when they meant BST--which is what I am endeavouring* to avoid.

*IDK why Lichess is so down on British spellings. One cannot spell glamorous without a u so why is this 'wrong'?
