Is it me or is the pairing algorithm bogus in tournaments? I just played a tournament where the tournament leader got to play twice as many games as me. And he kept playing the same guy while I was just sitting and waiting... Seems kind of weird to just let the leader play the same opponent over and over while I got to play him only once. He even resigned his game right away against me so he can play more games and win the tournament.

I do recognize the law of infinite probability, but I do notice that a lot I end up playing the same player again and again in a 6-7 people tournament.
Yea, it needs to be fixed. Maybe Swiss-system would be better.
А зачем нужны здесь ,на Личессе,турниры?Тут что будут призовые разыгрываться?Если нет,то смысла нет,игроки не будут все игры играть до конца.А если да,то должны быть турнирные игроки,которые только в турнирах и будут ЭЛО свои зарабатывать .Я не понимаю проблемы,на бесплатном сайте,игры один на один по желанию игроков,вот и всё.Чего мудрить?Кому это надо?Для чего?Нет смысла,повторяю.
Лучше бы- Время истекло- убрали,и решили,что это ничья.Мудрецы....А то гадаешь ,чем игра закончилась.

I didn't play ganteng once and I spent, in all, 10 minutes waiting.
And even for ganteng's sake, s/he only played one other person, but duzi964 3 times.
