Good Chess Books

I'm looking for some good chess books, in general, no specific topics. I know a few (Dvoretsky's Endgame Manual) etc. but any more good recommendations?
I find
"Chess: 5334 Problems, Combinations & Games by László Polgár "
very useful, it would at least last you a year and half of learning if not 10 years :)

Chess Progress: From Beginner to Winner by Erik Czerwin (me!)

Much better books than mine:
Reassess Your Chess, 4th Edition by Jeremy Silman
Complete Endgame Course by Jeremy Silman
@Bored_bird Ok I'll check that out. I've heard of that book, but I didn't if it was good or not.
@Triangel I'll check that one out too
@CzTeacherMan Nice! I'll look at your book. I really want to get the Reassess Your Chess book.

Thanks for all your responses.
@ITS_A_CHECKMATE The problem with Reassess Your Chess (and anything by Silman in general) is that he likes to talk and beat around the bush instead of getting straight to the point.

Now, my personal recommendations for what they're worth would be Fundamental Chess Openings by Paul van der Sterren, Simple Chess by Stean and Chess Fundamentals by Capablanca (just make sure to get a copy with algebraic notation and not descriptive notation)
@TheBoarShark Ok, thanks for the heads up. I've also heard of the Fundamental Chess Openings book (isn't it abbreviated as FCO?) and other people have recommended the Stean book. Thanks for your response!
