Rapid Only Players?

Just talking out loud. Was wondering if anyone else felt this way....and to preface this...While I do mostly play Rapid, I have a few thousand games in bullet and blitz.

Ok so....I refuse to play people who only have Rapid games. Just as I wouldn't play someone who has a blitz rating of 1200 and a rapid rating of 2150. Its just Suss af.

While only a small faction of my games are ever refunded from cheating, a super majority of those games are from people who have either a Massive disparity between a fast game and rapid ( like an 1000 elo difference) or have 0 bullet and blitz games and have 350+ rapid games.

Is this yalls experience or what ?

The correct test is to look at all of your games with a massive disparity (or 0 fast games) and look at the ratio of cheats to honests. Starting with the cheat games will lead you astray.

Survivorship bias is a real thing, I agree completely. The % is low no matter what, just my most recent experience.

Is there a way to actually see whos been banned in a lichess data export along with number of games?

Well, I'll buy the latter part of that...but not necessarily the former. After all, there are those who disdain Blitz/Bullet because they would much rather do some fairly serious thinking...and some use longer games for training purposes as well. Doesn't necessarily mean that they're all Crooks.

I only play rapid. I like to think before I move. I am thinking of switching to classic.

Disparity between blitz and classical rating is common. It can be any large. But if there's hardly any disparity, either the player is suspicious or a top level player.

Bro like is used to play SOOO many people like this like : 2400 rapid n 1700 blitz or 2300 rapid n 1200 blitz
