Rating system

Hi,

I've been trying to find how rating is computed. I know there are different ratings for different time controls and Fisher chess but I don't see how Standard rating and ELO on the page top are computed. Somehow my Standard rating is the highest, then the ELO, and then every individual time control rating. Is there an explanation I can read somewhere?

Thanks

Don't take this as official explanation but here's my understanding (hopefully someone will correct me)...

The first few games are provisional. That's when the rating changes more drastically.

After those first few games other games are calculated normally. Points change depending on the result and opponent rating.

Bullet, Blitz and Slow ratings are calculated separately.

Before the current split into the above three ratings,
we only had 1 rating.
I think that's what Standard or Profile rating is.

What I dont understand...
Why are the user Profile rating and Standard rating different (although close)?
And I still dont get how the Standard rating is higher than all the other ratings?
I guess standard - its overall classic chess rating, excluding chess 960 rating, so thats why players overall rating could be lower than standard rating (when your 960 rating is low).
