The most hated man in America plays chess

Starts playing chess at 3 minutes. He opens e4 and when she plays the sicilian c5 he asks arrogantly " You play the sicilian defense frequently?" when she says no and she doesn't know much about chess, he then laughs and says "the sicilian is one of the more popular moves in chess but it doesn't appear you know how to play chess very well."
He then responds 2. b4 the wing gambit but can't tell much after that.

The set looks cheap considering how much he is worth. Also he comes across as an asshole.
Wow! I am actually impressed how naively this guy thinks and how badly he is misjudging himself. How the hell did he come that far?
It's ironic that the poster put this thread up and linked the video in an attempt to further draw attention to what a jerk this guy is, and before this thread I hated this guy like the rest of the world but after watching the video, strange thing is I like this guy now.
The thing the yellow journalists don't tell you that you learned from this video is that no one needs to go without meds this guy controls because he'll give anyone the pills for free, or almost free. All's they gotta do is ask. He's screwing the INSURANCE COMPANIES. Also, he devotes MUCH more of his revenue to research and development to make better drugs to help people than other big pharma companies. I actually like this guy now. I love his brazen attitude and how he used his wits to become so successful.
absolutely agree with wonquestioniqtest. media has completely skewed this guy's image. insurance companies are guilty of price gauging ON A DAILY BASIS. not enough people know Shkreli unfortunately and make unfounded criticism on the guy. pretty sad.
It's a good lesson to always hear both sides of the argument before making up your mind :)
He seems pretentious, awkward, and a jerk. She doesn't play chess, so why would he say, "Yeah, you seem pretty bad."

Also, you always see him with that plastic chess set. Too funny.

Really weird interview setup. I like that it's different, but couldn't watch more than 5 minutes, or the stock market talk. He seems to be trying to impress people too much.
This is a very important perspective to look at. I like him for the most part. He may have a few personality flaws but his reasons for doing what he does all seem sound, and if he is honest about giving people the drugs they need for free then the guy really is doing a massive service. I have to agree that it seems the media is completely skewing peoples' perceptions of not just Martin, but of the whole issue at hand. In fact, the story itself just seems like a deflection. People always crave a villain, someone to blame for something. Think for yourself. Don't be a sheep.
