  1. ruip I was expecting Rua Lopez but I'm pretty sure he also didn't expect nimzo
  2. FirstnameLastname (8) Go ruip! :-)
  3. ruip 8... not sure what to do here; bishop to d2 blocks the queen; maybe b6 and Bb7? Re8 doesn't look bad
  4. ruip I don't like Ne5 Nxe5 Nd7 but I don't find a way to prevent that
  5. ruip 9...Bd2 or a6 ? hmmm I guess it doesn't matter? if Bb5 then a6; if he trades its good for me
  6. ruip no issues with blocking the queen now
  7. ruip I guess Qe7 to play e5 is an idea now
  8. ruip meh... maybe not
  9. FirstnameLastname /w (9) Perhaps Ne4 to take on c3 and then push e5
  10. ruip (14) I guess his plan is g4 g5...
  11. ruip so I guess I have to go back with knight now and play g6 next
  12. Mackjalek97 Go JumpJazz!
  13. ruip (16) g6 because I want to play e5 and then trade trade Rxe5 Bc3 Re8 Bxf6
  14. ruip (17) I'm starting to feel pressured because of time...
  15. JumpJazz my brain is very smooth
  16. JumpJazz this is what I get for playing right after rolling out of bed
  17. JumpJazz I didn't have time to calculate that. oof
  18. JumpJazz full send
  19. ruip (26) damn... now I could have played Qd7
  20. ruip for some reason this wasn't possible before (?) and now I didn't check it
  21. ruip (27) and now I lose the queen :(
  22. JumpJazz anyone else have some adrenaline right now?
  23. ruip I'm a "bit" irritated right now
  24. ruip at least I was losing before I started winning but I don't know why
  25. ruip but I don't want to look into the computer analysis
  26. ruip before I analyse it myself
  27. ruip but I missed the Bh8 idea and I've seen it before
  28. ruip you found it with two 2 or 3 minutes on the clock
  29. ruip Bh8 was what "broke me"
  30. ruip because I haven't analysed that and with no time... I just lost
  31. JumpJazz As soon as you played Nb4 I though my hand was forced because I didn't have time to analyze.
  32. JumpJazz So I decided I would live or die by the diagonal and play like a blitz match. After 16...g6 I had the Bh8 idea.
  33. JumpJazz I really didn't calculate 17...e5 for some reason and it caught me off guard.
  34. JumpJazz I also thought you would push kingside starting move 13.
  35. ruip I felt this was an interesting game
  36. ruip you did some prep for QGD ?
  37. ruip I was expecting your usual Ruy Lopez and this time I had decided not to play something to avoid my opponent's usual opening
  38. ruip but you decided to play d4 :)
  39. JumpJazz I did a little QGD prep, but not near as much as I should have. You have a crazy good record against 1.e4, so I decided not to test you, lol
  40. ruip I have?
  41. ruip oh good to know
  42. ruip let me check that, I had no idea :D
  43. ruip 108 loses 81 wins
  44. ruip not that great!
  45. ruip when I saw d4, I decided for "nimzo" but I don't know any opening theory at all
  46. JumpJazz I only checked recently in slow time formats, not all-time. Which favors you a little more.
  47. JumpJazz Yeah, when neither player knows the opening theory too well it typically leads to time trouble and a blitz match at the end, lol.
