  1. RebelMe Go rsava!
  2. yerboiMatias (5) today's soundtrack of choice is joseph and the amazing technicolour dream coat
  3. yerboiMatias (13) not sure why he played Qe7 over Re8 seems to give me a free move with the knight to trade off his good bishop on f5
  4. yerboiMatias (14) i dont think d4 worked there because of fxg3
  5. yerboiMatias (14) looking at Bxe6 fxe6 Ne5 Nxe5 Rxe5 with ideas of Qg4 to follow and working out if i have an attack
  6. yerboiMatias (15) that line looks promising as i get very active and the pawn on d4 stops the DSB from helping with any defence
  7. yerboiMatias (15) i think its quite a bad piece right now
  8. yerboiMatias (16) at the very worst i should be able to double rooks on the e file against a weak pawn on e6
  9. yerboiMatias (18) some combination of Qb3 and Rae1 should be able to win the pawn on e6
  10. SycoraxCirce 20 this is a wild ride, White has played extremely well so far
  11. yerboiMatias (26) no attack if he finds Bd8
  12. yerboiMatias (26) cant see any other good moves for him
  13. yerboiMatias (27) hmm thats an annoying move
  14. yerboiMatias (27) Rg6+ doesnt work
  15. yerboiMatias (28) not sure if this is still winning but this is the only thing i can see that might be
  16. yerboiMatias (28) lots of tricks in the line
  17. yerboiMatias (28) Qxe6 Qxh7+ Kxh7 Nxf8+ forking the king and queen so up 2 pawns in knight vs bishop
  18. RebelMe Rsava fighting like a lion here
  19. SycoraxCirce but wow look at that Qxe6 Qxh7 line
  20. accool52 That was such a good find
  21. RebelMe That looks fun, hope we will see it
  22. RebelMe Oh its two pawns, then I didnt want to see it for my teammate for sure :)
  23. yerboiMatias (32) saw this position a couple of moves ago
  24. achava_06 why do the players type their thoughts in the chat?
  25. SycoraxCirce for our enjoyment
  26. SycoraxCirce they cant read it themselves
  27. achava_06 Oh ok, and it doesn't give the opponent an advantage?
  28. SycoraxCirce that was a heck of a game

  31. rsava Did not see 30. Qh7+ thought he would take the R
  32. yerboiMatias i saw that taking the rook hits the queen and the pawn
  33. yerboiMatias so i was initially looking at taking the rook and then taking the pawn but i was always told if you look at a 2 move combination
  34. yerboiMatias alwaus try swapping the order
  35. rsava Hmm, well, lots of things for me to look at for sure.
  36. yerboiMatias i was kicking the bean bag that i have in my room at one point because i felt i was better then i thought Bd8 was winning for you
  37. rsava At the end you just had overwhelming pawns
  38. yerboiMatias yeah i saw that i had a 4v3 on the queen side so most endgames should be niec
  39. yerboiMatias nice*
  40. rsava I felt pretty good with that , forcing you back to h5
  41. yerboiMatias ill be honest it was luck more than anything that Ng6 worked after g5
  42. yerboiMatias i only played it because i saw that you couldnt take the knight or the rook
  43. rsava But of course, I followed the old maxim- Patzer sees check, patzer gives check.
  44. yerboiMatias and literally everything else i saw ended with me being down a piece and thought i might as well try
  45. rsava Well, it was a pleasure playing you. Thanks and hope to see you around over the board.
  46. yerboiMatias yeah good luck for the rest of the tournament
