Just call me Marshall McLuhan

Another day, another game of bullet on the lichess app where I saw my opponent's clock reach zero several times, but then bounce back (at least I was spared the dynamic ellipsis (...) while it re-established a connection on this occasion). Rather than go on tilt* I decided to fire up the laptop instead, and lo and behold my blog post is the lead article on the front page (as against something you might see if you were following me, or noticed that there is now a blog post stat). Granted, I didn't notice this until after I had played a game of Rapid (word to the wise: if you're 200 points better at Rapid than at Bullet then don't berserk).
Despite not having pictures or magazine feature layout or any of that good stuff, my previous blog garnered a few views and even a few likes so I thought I'd share my thoughts on this latest update.

If it ain't broke then don't try to fix it! Especially when so many other things that relate to actual games are broke. Because that's what people come here for, in the limited discretionary time that each of us has: games. That being the case, fair play to you if you made it this far. Since you're here though:
