Suggestion: Hide enemy players' rating!

I like that idea, and the tournament one also! I often observe how it influences me to not look at the rating and am usually quite surprised :)

Mastering the psychological element of fear will prove far more useful than ignoring it, as you will be able to extend your Zen to other intense aspects of the game.

If you hide a monster it will eat you. I prefer to avoid the strong players. We need to separate them in a special group out of the easy-peasy games.
