How do I become a lichess coach?

@petri999
Agree with you! But one thing that's interesting is if we assume there has been a 3% inflation in ELO since Fischer became Champ his rating in 2020 would be around 2870. Is this possible? I think so, but that will leave only Magnus to be his equal in chess and perhaps he is who knows Bobby is dead! But what separates GM's of today from Fischer's day is the amount of games and engines that can improve chess skills at the players. If all those possibilities were at hand 100 years ago I think the great Masters of chess like Lasker, Capa, Alekhine, Botvinnik and Fischer would have had a rating similar to what Magnus has today, but that is only what I think.

@TryHardinq about the SouthAfricans, most of them are underrated, because of few rated tournaments. Take @theguythatwins for eg., He has a fide rating of 1888, but if you look at his blitz rating, most FMs and CMs have about that rating.
@Nyghtguard
Granted he is perhaps a little underrated but if you take my rating as a quick comparison we are roughly the same and I can assure you that in a classical game a 2300 FM would beat me 9/10 times. So lichess online ratings vs classical OTB skill isn't really comparable. One is about speed, internet connection, mouse, muscle memory, ping the other is strictly skill, experience and calculation.
"The U.S. is a decent example but if you are looking for the most worthless titled players, South Africa is the country of choice... They are permitted to give titles for national U10-12 etc. Tournaments which is the reason why you sometimes see 1600 rated FIDE Masters from SA, this is not only laughable but also simply disgusting. It diminishes every other Master's achievement and reinforces FIDE's title for profit mentality completely."

@TryHardinq this is incorrect. South Africa does not hand out Fide titles. Players win the titles at African Zonal or sub-zonal events which are FIDE events just like in other parts of the world.
@Mals you say that xD yet you are a 2100 rated FIDE Master... That is precisely what we were discussing. An FM unless retired and after loosing a lot of rating should be 2300 rated at least. Otherwise we have people who happened to be born in the right country reaching the FM title at age 12 with 1400 rating and others born in the wrong part having to work exponentially more and needing to reach 2300 to get the title....
How on Earth is that fair?
@TryHardinq Firstly, I highlighted that your statement is incorrect, and you have chosen to ignore what I highlighted.

Secondly, I got my FM title by tying 2nd, 3rd on tiebreak at a Sub-Zonal event. Which is exactly how I know that your comment was false. This event has no age limit by the way. So contrary to your false narrative it wasnt from a U12 event.

There are Zonal events for each continent. Each continent also has their own continental youth tournaments which give titles, I dont believe U14 and U12 winners are awarded FM, only CM. FiDE did address your concern by raising the rating bar minimum for those who "win" the titles at such events to 200 points below the "standard" either last year or 2018. For eg, if I won the Sub-zonal which awards IM I have to be over 2200 at some point in my career to be given the title.

Now for the other thing completely unrelated to your initial point, your belief on what others ratings should be based on their title is just that, a belief. Titles are permanent barring gross misconduct like cheating.

Some parts of the world have less FIDE rated events, so its alot more difficult to raise rating. In my country for eg. it wasnt until I was in my 20s that we started having all our tournaments FIDE rated. Previously, it was only the National Championship.

So there are imbalances all over, I'm no here to state what's fair, only to give insight into what I've personaly observed.
Honestly, you guys have changed the subject. But I already got my answer.
But I think that getting titled from sub-Zonal events is unfair.
Coz i actually participated in a tournaments where they gave CM titles to 8 year olds!!!
That tournament had age categories and there rating didn’t matter.
Furthermore they didn’t have any norms and now people who would be rated like 700 by FIDE Are CMs!!
I have been playing for 3 years and I gat nothin. This is a really unfair way to get a title in my opinion and I think it takes the achievement out of the achievement. I think that needs to be fixed so that only people who really worked for their titles actually get them. Thanks for your replies guys! Peace!
