Just an idea to keep smurfs/trolls/engines out of tournaments. Have them play like an x amount of games first or they have to have had the account for an x amount of time, like a day. So they can just make a new account to sabotage a tournament.
How could they sabotage a tournament anyway?
By beating the top guys on a 1500 account, killing their ratings and whatnot.
Ratings don't work that way, there are deviation and volatility factors. This is Glicko2, man, not that good ol' ELO.
Also in order to play the tournament leader, you have to get a good rank in the tourney, which requires winning many games, which reveals your rating.

Glicko nor any other rating system is prepared for unbalanced multi accounting. I am pretty sure if more of the good players do multi accounting this will lead to rating deflation. Very simple example: a pool with only 10 players. If the best player of this pool creates a new account every day that will lead to very quick rating deflation.

That's why multiaccounting is strongly discouraged, and is a bannable offence if people take it too far.
