New header update covers thing up...

I find it very irritating. It feels like I'm using an experimental version pushed out merely to wait for thousands of complaints. In Firefox it covers the top clock on old game review, unless I do the scroll jigger dance to outfox it. There are hundreds of discussions on the web about how bad such sticky menu style can be. I don't want to start a flame war, but I feel genuinely upset. I loved Lichess for its a minimalist design, not an irritating heap of disgusting features to try to ignore. Maybe this will force me to change my chess website habits.
reject new bar revert back

I hope either lichess or the lichess tools guy gives an option to revert back to the good old days
Until they revert back, I recommend using a Kill Sticky add on for your browser.
This following link is for Firefox.

Thanks @HailstormChessPlayer.
When I use the Analysis board, that new bar covers the material difference of the "upper" side. Nothing can be done about that, neither scrolling nor resizing the board.

I don't understand why Lichess developpers do that. I mean, sometimes there are fixes with unexpected consequences. But just "let's make that thing wider" without any use for anybody ... strange.

If you can provide your browser details and screenshots I'm sure the devs will take a look at your problem.

I get that people very rarely like change but the developers are trying to improve user experience (for example not having to scroll all the way back to the top bar in a long forum thread). There's really no need to be so dramatic and aggressive.

As a general response, there's almost always going to be disruption with a change where unintended consequences have to be fixed. A little grace goes a long way rather than saying this is the end of the world.

No, scrolling doesn't help when in analysis board. At least not in an intuitive way ... I couldn't detect a possibility to see the material difference.

Yes, material balance and the clock. This is obviously a bug and will be fixed.
In the meanwhile, if you use Stylus, you can use this workaround:

.analyse__player_strip.top { z-index: 200; }

EDIT: It's already been fixed.
