A good way to set it up would be something like the Schach-Bundesliga if it was team based.

That's pretty much what I did, but not on Lichess and with correspondance games.

That's really impressive, Mine-antipersonnel. We've found in the Grand Prix Tournament Series that live games DO work (especially 1+0) in a tournament setting that people are used to (http://salfieldben.wix.com/gpts) but that there are a few problems:
- Getting the day and start time right so that as wide a field as possible can enter
- Publicising the event, because people are so forgetful
- Getting people to use the forums to communicate

I'd really like lichess to adopt this idea, so that it has maximum exposure and the potential to explode onto the online chess scene as a concept. Otherwise, I have to try and find people who can help make it happen.

1. The time of day could be in UTC? Or maybe different divisions for time zones?
2. I doubt it'd be difficult to publicise the event considering it will be taking place on this site.

#25 I meant these are currently problems we face with the GPTS competition. This is why I'd like lichess to run the superleague. Hyper efficient and all the problems easy to overcome.

I hope so soon... it just needs the developers to take notice :) Perhaps we should send them emails with links to this topic :D
