Leavers: autoresign, timeout warning, temporary suspension, anything.

I agree that 2-3 mins are not fair at all. He texts me after he quits that " you were lucky" but i'm waiting for his rudeness. And warning system is useless unless there is no ban after some warnings. I know some users quit every single game and quits and still we match.
Something seems to be malfunctioning in the system Lichess is using to prevent this kind of behavior. Or perhaps some found a way around it?

I played a game today against an opponent. They let the clock run for 2 minutes in a losing position (ragequit), then they immediately started another game. Both games were rated, Blitz 3+0.

Would anyone be able to explain to me how this is even possible?
I wonder why these kind of players don't set the opponent max rating to 300 points lower than their own rating. Would be easier to win as that's all they're interested in.

The tactic @soni777new mentioned would've worked fine here ( @Pashut 's game), to prevent them from starting a new game.

It would be interesting to know how the warning-ban system on this site. I've been issued multiple warnings a day for wrong reasons (eg. couldn't find the right move within last 10 sec or so) with no ban. Maybe the site sees if the wasted times are longer (eg. 30+ sec), or the system is not functioning properly.

The unrealistic idea would be to have a membership deposit, eg. $10. If you didn't behave, a certain share of deposit eg. $0.10 or 0.05 would be considered as a contribution for lichess. The sum could go up if bad behavior kept repeating. Not much, but enough to make drainers think twice if they're acting wisely. (And also a sort of retribution as it's in their opponent's interests to keep this site prospering.) If you didn't violate any rules, the deposit would be returned if you at some time wanted to end your lichess membership. Not gonna happen, but I think money is the only language that drainers would understand.
@Toadofsky thanks. If I read it correctly it says 15 sec minimum and doesn't seem to distinguish between long (eg 60 sec) and minimum idling times (?)
Thanks for clarifying @Toadofsky .

But my question still stands, as it doesn't pertain so much to the warning being issued. I'm more interested in how / why they were permitted to start a new game while running the clock down in my game? I'm guessing this player found a way around whatever system Lichess is using to prevent this, so perhaps this should be looked at more thoroughly...
Players are permitted to play multiple games, although as I linked to earlier players who sit are automatically reported.
@Toadofsky -- Sorry, but when I tested playing a second game while I had a game in progress, Lichess indicated that "You can't start a new game until this one is finished"

So I don't really understand your explanation that "players are permitted to play multiple games" (not referring here to simuls, of course).
@soni777new What are you referring to when you say "new thing"?

The test I ran (which resulted in the screenshot I attached) was done today, just after @Toadofsky indicated it's possible for players to play multiple games at once. That's why I asked him, because when I tried, it didn't allow me to. And I was under the impression that you are in fact NOT allowed to play multiple games at once, fact confirmed by the screenshot.

Strange indeed...
