Anti cheating "indicators"

This looks great! Has the github project already been created?

I'm not a big fan of looking only at the loss of browser's focus or at the average time between moves to find cheaters (I like playing chess while doing other boring stuff) but I find this client side
analysis very interesting.
" Some players start using the engine only at a later stage on the game (usually preceeded by a
large "setup" time at a stage where the position is not necessarily so complex or already desesperate against a human player). "
---
I'd use caution speculating on solely one parameter. I took a 3 minute break during one of my recent games because I was at work and being interrupted LOL. The poor chap must've thought I was cheating
and left the game, even though my moves were still awful. Realise sometimes people have to use the loo, even in relatively short games!

I agree with all efforts on this site to chatch bots and cheaters. It's an awful epidemic on chess servers. The laughable thing is they think they've got to cheat even against beginners like me.

I'll take some of the advice I've seen and cancel game if I see 100-0-0 records or a name in the lists I've seen posted. Fortunately, I've nothing tangible to lose to cheaters except my pride.
Please help with cheater!

JVirgilio

He plays sometimes like an intermediate player and some times he plays like a novice.

Look at his graph something is strange...
He stays at one rating then his graph goes up and down.

Im not sure what to say I will test one or two games and analyze them with my engine.
agreed

looks like September 19th he started cheating; he won 15 games in a row. that's the date his rating spikes, and it's also when his style changes. Every game before that date as white he played the
Scotch against e5, Nc6; as black against e4 he played the Scandinavian exclusively. From 9/19 on he starts playing 3.Bc4 and 3.Bb5 as white and 1...e5 as black against e4.

worth noting as well is the time graph for the 4 games vs Ninja.

1st game (he lost):

2-3s. (12 moves)
4-5s. (15 moves)
6-7s. (6 moves)
8-9s. (5 moves)
10-11s. (2 moves)
12-13s. (2 moves)
16+s. (6 moves)

next 3 games (he won):

White - JVirgilio (1373) - time per move distribution
4-5s. (3 moves)
6-7s. (7 moves)
8-9s. (5 moves)
12-13s. (2 moves)
14-15s. (1 moves)

Black - JVirgilio (1346) - time per move distribution
2-3s. (1 moves)
4-5s. (5 moves)
6-7s. (15 moves)
8-9s. (10 moves)
10-11s. (3 moves)
16+s. (1 moves)

White - JVirgilio (1318) - time per move distribution

1st game 12 moves 2-3 seconds. next 3 games combined 2 moves 2-3 seconds
He's less clear than others because he only uses a program ~ half the time, but it's clear enough.

Nobody goes from ~1000 rating consistently to 1500+ in less than a month without some outside assistance.
