Please bring back chat option in anonymous games

I am playing a lot of anonymous games/sessions without logging in - don´t ask me why. ;-)
I did that already in the past when chatting in that kind of games was possible. Somewhen (years ago?!?) the ability was switched off - and I miss it since then.
This is understandable as insults and unsportsmanlike behaviour is a huge problem - even more in anonymous games. And I was facing this quite often.
But then you could simply ignore it or switch the chat off like you can do in "real" games.
Why am I hoping for a comeback?
In some cases I/you really get opponents in anonymous games with whom you can play reasonable sessions. And in this cases I have the wish to try to chat with them.
Having this option in the past I sometimes met really nice people, that were only playing in the anonymous pool (for whatever reason).
And after a nice conversation I not only once managed to convince them to register with lichess. ;-)
So please consider bringing back this option.

I doubt anon chats will be reintroduced. They were sadly abused by bots and assholes. There is no way to moderate it.

@lovlas: Maybe no need to moderate it?
But if there is really the possibility to abuse it with bots (and I trust you), I understand, that it´s switched off.
Really sad.

It was a fun feature. Sad that some scumbags have to ruin it for everyone.

I completely agree. Nevertheless I hope for a comeback some day... it somehow deserves it. Maybe in a better world with less assholes and scumbags. ;-)

I hope for its return, too. I dig friendly games in which you can chat with your oppo. But the anonymity of the great 'Net emboldens chumps to exhibit their worst, and I'm not surprised to learn it's happened in Li. That ruins it for the few who respect the feature.

Just to point out:
Anonymous players are more of an as$ than the 1500 lichess community.

I can understand not allowing chat. Playing on a browser there are some hard-coded phrases available, which is nice. Unfortunately they are not available in the mobile app. So when a person says "good game" a player using the mobile app appears rude by not responding in any way.

Also the mobile app (iOS) does not respect the volume controls, but that's off this topic.

Yes I also hope that someday the old features will make a comeback. Playing anons or as anon was an interesting option. And yes most games ended with anon leaving the game and chat was a 50/50 mixture of "ur mom GAY" and "death to filthy zionist jews". I have never seen this as a problem because no one really expects any kind of civility in these games.
