High contrast mode background

Hey,

does anyone know why the high contrast mode puts a disgusting background to the whole site?

That makes things really hard to read and kills the accessibility feature.
When you choose the High-Contrast mode, on the line below, you can see a link to the background picture, add a few random characters to the link, and it will disappear.
Agreed, the picture makes things hard to read. Much of it is light in color, like the text, and the textboxes are translucent, which makes no sense.
The picture is pretty, but it should not be the default background for a mode that is supposed to make reading easier.
It's not High-Contrast mode, it's Transparent With Custom Image Background mode.
Quick Google search for "contrast symbol", the symbol used is the first hit. Also the 3rd, 4th, 10th, etc.

DreiDryDrops3, thanks for the tip but I'm not using high contrast mode, it's a general comment on the website since it appears like a design blunder to me. (I like to do general comments on things that ain't my business)
