Opponents move didn't update

Hello. I just played an opponent who on my screen hadn't made a move, i watched their clock expire to 0 then nothing happened. After I hit refresh it said that I was the one who had timed out and their most current move was now displayed. I lost rating points without technically losing. It was around the same time as the server restart but I've never had issues with this in the past..

I also had the same error happen to me. Is it possible to have my rating points reinstated? Seems unfair given I was waiting for the opponent...

thats how i lost 100 rapid rating (1200 to 1100)

I had it happen the opposite way. My opponents move reversed. The board showed it to be my move but the program locked up except for the clock. I couldn’t move, couldn’t resign could only leave the game or let the clock run out on me

It happens if you loose connection. Just don't play when you have internet problems, lichess can't do anything about this

Sorry but no internet connection issues. I was connected the whole time and streaming music without an issue. Was also a 30min game so if there was internet issues i would have noticed within that time..

Same with me. I could correspond with the opponent...just couldn’t move

Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...
