Unable to change e-mail while creating a new account

I'm trying to create a new account (for another person).
I've already chosen the username: "Bunica" and obviously a password.

Now, the problem: the e-mail I chose doesn't seem to work. So I can't complete the registration process.
And I also can't change the e-mail for a working one. I can't find any way to change it. If I try to log in, I'm taken to a screen with:

We've sent you an email. Click the link in the email to activate your account.

If you don't see the email, check other places it might be, like your junk, spam, social, or other folders."

How can I fix this problem ? I'd like to simply change the e-mail.
Is choosing another username and restarting the registration process the only way to solve this ?
You should contact lichess.contact@gmail.com for things like this ...

Anyway, email that link with the username and the email you want it changed to.

If the email is an email that has not been created, you can create the email, (eg. creates account with hwnry1324@gmail.com, but supposed to be henry1324@gmail.com, but now creates the gmail account hwnry1324@gmail.com to complete the verification process) Otherwise like Chess_Agent said, contact thibault because there's nothing we can really do about it.

The e-mail used is a facebook e-mail, an e-mail that facebook automatically creates and associates with its accounts. It seems those don't work, or at least the one I used doesn't.

But this issue should be solved in general, not just for me.
You should be able to change the e-mail address and re-send the confirmation e-mail. I'm sure other people have been affected by this.
